Puppy Love

Happy 2013. I started out my NYE a little bit heartbroken and bitter…which was also the way I spent the last half of 2012. I was thinking tomorrow was just another day to pitty myself and try to mend my poor broken heart but then, this happened:

Yep, I completed my lesbian stereotype and adopted a puppy. It was kind of on a whim but I was needing a companion, and my roommie Dez thought it would be a good way to help me not feel so lonely. She was right. It was great to not have to climb into an empty bed. And although my new fur baby spent a good amount of time licking my face profusely through the night… I didn’t mind one bit. It is actually kind of crazy how this little one has helped me feel better. Puppies can both melt and mend your heart. Even when they step on your laptop and accidentally delete your mix on spotify. True love.
